A-Town Common Rules:
  • Your character needs to have a realistic name, and must not break TOS.
  • Players must follow Twitch.tv Terms of Service (TOS) at all times.
  • Click HERE to view them. https://www.twitch.tv/p/en/legal/terms-of-service/
  • Being toxic, or breeding toxicity in any platform (this includes twitch, Reddit, discord, etc) can have you removed from the community at any point in time.
  • We will enforce a strict code of conduct within our community and act on items that are distasteful, for example, sexual harassment, excessive name-calling or shaming, disrespectful attacks on a personal level, etc.
  • You’re not allowed to leak information about another person or make threats.
  • You’re not allowed to intimidate players from playing on the server or continuously harass them in-game for out-of-character reasons.
  • Simply put, respect one another; have justification and reasoning for your actions. Simply saying “it’s my character” will not be considered a valid response.
  • You CAN NOT revenge report but the staff is required to see both parties' sides so if any rules are broken in the clips both parties will be punished.
  • If you're a driver, you're not allowed to shoot out of vehicles, in real life that's not how it works. you're a driver, the other people in the passenger seats should be the only ones shooting if caught in a vehicle shootout situation. If done so, you will be accounted for fail roleplay.

Interaction Rules:
  • Sexual, torture or extremely gross roleplay is allowed only if all parties involved (participants and witnesses) have agreed to it in an out of character chat prior to the roleplay being performed and not in a public area. If at any time you feel uncomfortable with the roleplay you can void it and leave the roleplay.
  • Scenarios such as rape and non-consensual touching are prohibited.
  • Players breaking the rules doesn’t mean the roleplay stops, if you have an issue with the player submit a report in-game or on the discord.
  • Players trying to meet someone via stream sniping isn’t allowed. If you’re found to be stream sniping you will be permanently banned from the server.
  • Players may take pictures with their phone using the emote. They may record using a camera. The camera may pick up audio if the player is in range to hear the audio (not through walls/glass etc).
  • All players must follow the Twitch Terms of Service.
  • Click here to view them. https://www.twitch.tv/p/en/legal/terms-of-service/
  • All players must remain in character unless an administrator says otherwise. Local OOC should only be used if needed. Players may not void roleplay or any scenario unless a Lead Administrator says otherwise. You must follow all administrator instructions.
  • All players may not cut off interactions between you or another player unless Lead Admin+ says otherwise. You must follow all administrator instructions.

  • Consequences: Class C or D Depending on the situation.

In-Game Rules:
  • All players should treat others with respect. You’re not allowed to break the rules because someone else did. You shouldn’t disrupt, stall or void roleplay unless an administrator tells you too. Examples;
  • Quitting the game to avoid roleplay
  • Repeatedly refusing to roleplay / Avoiding roleplay
  • Bugs, Dsync issues are to be roleplayed out.
  • Assets are to not be transferred without approval by Administration.
  • Homophobia, Misgendering, and Targeted Hateful remarks are strongly prohibited, and will not be taken lightly. (Please keep in mind that if any of these are seen, it will be dealt with accordingly.)
  • If you come across a bug or exploit on any of our services you’re required to report it. Exploiting it and using it will result in a permanent ban and it’s your obligation to report rule-breakers as well

  • Consequences: Any Class Depending on the Situation
Metagaming:
  • Metagaming is defined as using out of character information in character. Inciting someone else to metagame is against this rule.
  • Examples:
  • Malik Mcbride reads something from out of character chat and roleplays knowing that in-character.
  • Chase camry reads something from twitch chat and roleplays knowing that in-character.
  • Using out of game communications like Discord, imessage , etc. to communicate in character while in-game is forbidden.

  • Consequences: Class D

Powergaming:
  • Powergaming can be defined as performing acts that are not human-like; forcing roleplay on others without giving them a fair chance; making up things which did not happen so that you can benefit; roleplaying things which are not possible script-wise so that you can gain an unfair advantage.
  • Examples:
  • Talking/Organizing/Calling out locations while downed.
  • Finding the quickest way to make money, rather than roleplaying around the mechanic.
  • The use of /me and /do should be used as much as possible to help aid your scenarios.
  • Driving at unrealistic speeds with no character reason over and over

  • Consequence: Class B

Deathmatching:
  • Killing another person without a sufficient roleplay reason (deathmatching) is not allowed. Unnecessary provoking falls under this rule as well. Terrorism is strictly forbidden.
  • This also includes revenge killing — when you respawn after being executed and then kill (or at least attempt to) the person who has just murdered you. Your In Character memory is wiped off everything that led up to your death when you are killed, so you should forget about your attacker.
  • Examples!!
  • Attacking another player/group without any story/roleplay leading up to it.
  • Attacking another player/group using a Vehicle with the intent to kill/knock them out without valid reasoning or initiation.
  • John Doe has killed you over a legitimate in character reason and you respawned without being saved by the Police Department/Fire Department so you get a gun from your house and go back and kill him.
  • You provoke a fist fight with two people who are unarmed and then you pull your firearm out and kill them.
  • Players cannot provoke a situation or another player without valid reasons behind it.

  • Consequence: Class C

Robbing And Scamming:
  • Robbing is defined as taking someone’s possessions (money/items, etc) by force or threat of force. Scamming is defined as offering a good or service and then refusing to pay or give it. Robberies and scams must be strictly done in character.
  • Players are unable to force other players to withdraw money from an automated teller.
  • You must always have a valid reasoning behind robbing someone.
  • Players are unable to force another player to sell them their vehicle via script commands during a robbery.
  • Players are unable to force other players to hand over assets that aren’t present in the area.
  • All robberies must be roleplayed using the proper /me's and /do's.
  • Players may not scam vehicles or properties
  • Players may scam for a maximum amount of $50,000 and nothing greater.
  • Players may not rob items from the Police Department and Fire Department.
  • Players can't commit a robbery while operating a luxury, high-end, or sports car.
  • Players are able to rob all of the cash you are carrying on your persona. Avoid walking around with twenty thousand dollars unless you don’t care about losing it.
  • Looting people who are dead is forbidden.
  • A group who splits up shouldn't be hitting a house in 4 different areas of the map to try and spread police out just so they can succeed.
  • You may not rob a player while they are performing a scripted job on the server, ex: garbage pickup.
  • Only tell a player to 'put their hands up' or 'don't move' solely if you intend to rob them, not if you intend to kill them.
  • Chain robberies on your character unless perfectly roleplayed will be considered unrealistic and poor portrayal of a character. You may only do up to one robbery per 4 hours. Group robberies count together the rule doesn't apply to just an individual, it applies to an entire group you're with. Rather you're the getaway driver, burglar, etc. You may not kill someone during a robbery unless they bring it upon themselves. Players must show value for their life and your character's life is important.

  • Consequences: Class A or B Depending on the Situation

New Life Rule:
  • If you’re downed and wake up at the hospital your character forgets the immediate events leading up to being down in the current scenario. A player may not return to the area of their death for at least 15 minutes or attempt to retrieve lost possessions from involved players. If you happen to Character Kill, you may not make a new character and revenge kill for your deceased character. If you are downed and respawn at the hospital, your character forgets the immediate events leading up to being downed in the current scenario. You may not respawn if you’ve been advised that police or EMS is on the way to your scene.
  • You must try and contact medical help of some sort while incapacitated.

  • Consequences: Class B

Abuse Of Game Physics:
  • Grand Theft Auto Five physics and movements in-game are hardcoded and cannot be changed via scripting so the following is forbidden to avoid non-roleplay situations:
  • Bunnyhopping (i.e: jumping while running around to gain speed in a situation)
  • Spam Punching (i.e: spam clicking mouse 1 in a fight and not giving someone a chance to react).
  • Combat Rolling (i.e: rolling in a shootout, etc.)
  • Olympic Swimming (i.e: swimming without roleplay any exhaustion)
  • Abuse of jobs (i.e: spawning a job vehicle to evade police, etc).
  • First person fighting (fighting in first person is prohibited due to unrealistic advantageous DSYNC).
  • Speed-boosting (i.e: Using the combination of A, D, and Shift to teleport from one point to another on other player's screens).

  • Consequences: Class A

Third Party Modifications:
  • Third party modifications are defined as using a program, software that gives you an unfair advantage over other players. This includes the following: mods, trainers, crosshair monitor, tracers, etc.

  • Consequence: Class D

Safezones:
  • A no crime zone is an area where player(s) may not commit any crimes. If the player that you’re attacking flees into a safe zone then the roleplay is allowed to continue.

  • All Clothing Stores. (inside only)

  • Parking garages/impounds (where you store your vehicle).
  • The mall/shopping center. - Parking lot & Sidewalk included.

  • Consequence: Class B

Fear Roleplay:
  • Treat your character as you would treat yourself. Be mindful of your character's life at all times.
  • If you are being held at gunpoint you are to do whatever they instruct you to!! If someone has a hostage during a situation, you must value the hostage's life and you would want the safety of the hostage.
  • Examples
  • when you’re not in direct danger:
  • When you’re in a vehicle and the engine isn’t stalled.
  • When you have a firearm drawn and facing the other person before they attack.
  • When the attacker’s view is obstructed by an object or when they turn their back on you.

  • Consequence: Class B
Criminal Roleplay:
  • NO CIVS CAN PARTICIPATE IN SHOOTINGS UNLESS ITS SELF DEFENSE!!
  • Criminal activities are limited to 4 players max at a time Unless your gang has 10+ members then yall all would be required to slide in Vehicles that can hold 4 or more people
  • Relaying information to or between characters (lookouts, radio communications) counts you as part of that scenario.
  • Choosing shooters/grinders over roleplayers is not acceptable.
  • Whenever characters are brought into police custody and a second group of four is formed to attempt a prison break or transport break, that second group is not allowed to intervene until the prison transport begins. Doing so with small weapons or an unthought out plan is also Not valuing your life.
  • Consequence: Class B
Multiple Characters:
  • Multiple Characters(from the same player) in one gang/group)
  • This is not allowed. In general, try to avoid creating multiple characters involved in the same story/scenarios and could use the same information to push their goals.
  • If you're character end ups CK'ing in a faction and you still want to be apart of the same faction, you must start off your new character as a **RESIDENT AND/OR MEMBER** and work your way back up to Leader. This causes more roleplay and character development/storylines when it comes down to faction RP. Also creates more backdooring opportunities for the people who want to get that leadership role in the faction. Any failure to do so will result in a punishment, which could result in a faction strike, or a ban. Also, when you now make a new character it CANNOT be related to the previous character you had before.
  • Corruption. (IC)
  • Giving guns out from being in the Police Department or Fire Department to others in the server is classed as Corruption and will be banned for it. No Warnings.
  • Taking a large amount of money, weapons, items etc. from someone and not reporting it to staff.
  • Consequence: Any Class Depending on the Situation
  • **THIS ONLY APPLIES IN CHARACTER

  • Consequence: Class B
Refunds:
  • Please keep in mind that there is a strict NO Refund policy on ANY donation made towards the server, these donations help keep the server running and in condition for the community to enjoy. This includes whitelist applications, instant whitelist, and any asset granted in game (If the server includes and/or allows them).
  • In-game glitches that result in the loss of assets can be refunded if proof is provided. Instances of “dsync” or anything that doesn’t result in the loss of assets are to be roleplayed out unless directed otherwise.
  • Class Information - Note these are only baselines; each situation is different and will be handled accordingly to the issues presented.

  • Class A - Verbal Warning & Admin Jail!
  • Class B - 1-3 Day Ban!
  • Class C - 5-15 Days Ban!
